Advanced Ticketed Scaffolder
Cougar Scaffolding 2020 Ltd is a family business based in Upper Hutt, Wellington and due to the continued growth of our Tube & Clip scaffolding company, we have an employment opportunity coming up from October 2025 onwards for a competent Advanced ticketed scaffolder only. Please do not apply if you do not have the qualifications listed below.
Depending on your advanced scaffolding qualifications and experience wages will range $35-$37 per
hour from Monday to Thursday with Friday & weekend work optional. This is based on qualifications
and experience. Class 1 and/or Class 2 or above driving license is essential. The role is casual to
begin with a view to becoming permanent and full time, with a minimum of 36 hours per week and an
opportunity for additional hours to a maximum of 54 hours per week.
To be successful you will need to have at least 2 – 3 years’ experience on site experience in the construction industry as an Advanced Tube & Clip scaffolder. You will ideally have a current New Zealand Certificate of Competence (or overseas equivalent validated by SARNZ) or be able to secure this, as well as proven experience working with different scaffolding systems.
You will need to have the ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions and a
strong understanding of workplace safety regulations in New Zealand. The work is varied and among
other duties you would be expected to erect and dismantle scaffolding, to provide work platforms on
building and industrial sites, and for temporary structures while ensuring compliance with safety
regulations.
